More Than Grants:
How Women's Collective Giving Builds Movements Friday, October 9, 2026 12 PM ET
What does it mean to think about collective giving as more than grantmaking?
Women’s collective giving organizations have long brought people together around shared values, pooled resources, and deep commitments to their communities. In doing so, they are also helping build something larger: the relationships, leadership, trust, and community infrastructure that make lasting social change possible.
This conversation will introduce movement building in accessible terms and explore the role collective giving can play within a broader ecosystem of change. Together, we’ll look at the difference between funding individual organizations and investing in the conditions that allow communities and movements to thrive, and hear from leaders bringing these ideas to life in practice.
Participants will leave with a broader understanding of how movements work, why community-rooted philanthropy matters, and how collective giving organizations can see themselves as important contributors to the ecosystems that sustain change over time.
